Why choose Stetleón?

In general, online courses available to districts are either developed by non-high school teachers for the above average individual, are not designed to align with the traditional classroom setting/school calendar OR these online courses are too expensive to offer as a course for an entire school district.

Stetleón is unparalleled in its virtual curriculum and far superior in communication with districts.  What sets us apart?

Female Student
  • Stetleón is not a theory-based program.  Audra Mittelstet (CEO) was a High School Spanish Teacher prior to developing this company.  These courses were created alongside her high school Spanish teacher using original curriculum from 50+ years of combined experience in the Texas Classrooms.

  • Stetleón instructors have decades of experience in Texas classrooms.  Instructors have been classroom Spanish teachers, Assistant Principals, Campus Principals, Curriculum Directors, Cheerleading Sponsors, Student Council Sponsors, Class Sponsors, and NHS sponsors.  From these experiences, instructors are familiar with the high school environment and the rigorous extra-curricular schedules of students.  Instructors have established successful strategies to communicate and work with students to ensure success.

  • Courses are developed for the daily classroom setting.

  • They are designed on a weekly lesson platform that will keep all students on the same pace.  Students will not be allowed to go ahead and work beyond the current weekly module.  Students that are finished are provided with supplemental activities and enrichment assignments, so they are actively engaged all week.

  • Stetleón instructors are actively involved daily with grades and communication.

  • Stetleón provides all grading and grade reports.  Instructors send multiple midweek reports with student status and send a full grade report every Monday with up-to-date assignment grades and averages.

  • Stetleón reaches out to students, facilitators, administrators.

  • Stetleón instructors communicate with parents of struggling students and to praise student success.

  • Stetleón curriculum considers individual academic levels and outside extracurricular requirements for each student.

  • Stetleón understands the needs of Special Populations so that all students can be successful.
